Every BODY can be NICE

At NICE we aim to teach the body in front of us without bias. We don't believe in "I should be able to;" we believe in "I'll do my best." We try to offer Classical Pilates a variety of ways so everyone can find their joy! Happiness is the goal!

There are a few things to keep in mind when you are choosing a class:

  • We teach the Classical Pilates system on Classical Equipment.
  • We have 2 locations on 1 corner. Check the class description to know where to go.
  • The door code is at the bottom of every confirmation email.
  • We level our classes N-I-C-E. You will be required to take a requisite number of classes at the Nourishing Level before you go on to Integrative, and so forth.
  • Teachers have a personal and professional liability; we take an oath to do no harm. Get a doctor's clearance to do exercise if you've experienced any injury/condition/surgery in the last 4 months.
  • Be humble if a teacher asks you to modify/sit out an exercise or try a different class format; it's an ethical matter, not a personal attack.
  • Classes are small—5 people max.  Book ahead of time.
  • All classes are multi-apparatus.  Think beyond the reformer.
  • Please arrive fragrance free.
  • No zippers or metal fashionings, please!
  • Classes are 50 minutes in length, you are welcome up to 10 minutes before class.

We create opportunities for people all over the exercise spectrum to experience the Pilates System.

How Our Studio Levels Work

At NICE Pilates, we use a strategic progression system designed to guide you through the classical Pilates method safely and effectively.

The Path:

  1. Nourishing - Master the fundamentals (10 classes minimum)
  2. Integrative - Build intermediate and advanced skills and vocabulary (10-10,000 classes minimum)
  3. Classical - Practice the traditional sequences independently under the watchful eye of an instructor + Workshop exercises or themes identified by the instructor during your practice (your practice for life)
  4. Experience - Cardio Warm Up + Integrative [see step 2] Pilates

Why This System? The classical Pilates method has a specific order and progression that Joseph Pilates designed. We don't skip steps because each level builds the strength, control, and knowledge you need for the next. Think of it like learning medicine - you master anatomy before surgery.

Level Up Classes help bridge the gaps, giving you space to ask questions, get extra practice and build confidence.

Our Goal: Get you safely and confidently working through the complete classical Pilates system, just as it was originally intended - with proper preparation at every step.

This isn't about holding you back; it's about setting you up for long-term success and injury-free practice.
