Every BODY can be NICE
At NICE we aim to teach the body in front of us without bias. We don't believe in "I should be able to;" we believe in "I'll do my best." We try to offer Pilates a variety of ways so everyone can find their joy! Happiness is the goal!
There are a few things to keep in mind when you are choosing a class:
- We have 2 locations on 1 corner. Check the class description to know where to go.
- The door code is at the bottom of every confirmation email.
- We level our classes by tempo, not able-ness. You can run marathons and power clean 200lbs and still slow us down. Choose a class tempo you know you can manage. If you don't know, err on the slow side.
- Teachers have a personal and professional liability; we take an oath to do no harm. Get a doctor's clearance to do exercise if you've experienced any injury/condition/surgery in the last 4 months.
- Be humble if a teacher asks you to modify/sit out an exercise or try a different class format; it's an ethical matter, not a personal attack.
- Classes are small—5 people max. Book ahead of time.
- All classes are multi-apparatus
- Please arrive fragrance free.
- No zippers or metal fashionings, please!
- Classes are 50 minutes in length, you are welcome up to 10 minutes before class.
We create opportunities for people all over the exercise spectrum to experience the Pilates System.
Class Formats
Our Class formats you may see on the schedule: N.I.C.E.
N - Nourishing class is slower paced and emphasizes precision and breath, with the goal of building a strong foundation.
I - Integrative class is moderately paced and emphasizes integrating control, coordination, and breathing for a comprehensive workout experience.
C - Classical is fast paced and designed for those with a more advanced understanding of classical Pilates exercises. This class is not for beginners.
E - Experience class is moderate-to-fast paced and offers a dynamic blend of genres (Pilates-Fitness-Stretch), putting the focus on strength with stretch and control.
